Summer School Year 6 Transition

Transition Summer School kicked off this week where students took part in activities designed to support students in year 6 as they prepare to join us at Dixons Newall Green in September. Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 July. As we are about to move into our brand new building we will be delivering the Summer School Summer school took place this week at the new Creative Hub, Wythenshawe Library.

The Summer School had a focus on digital literacy where students took part in fun media challenges and learned how to use microphones, video cameras and the IT skills needed to create news and media content like their favourite YouTuber or TV star. The students thoroughly embraced all of the challenges and embodied our values of working, hard, having integrity and being kind. The students will have the opportunity to put their new skills into action when they join Dixons Newall Green in September.
