Trip To The Imperial War Museum North
Posted 16th May 2025
To coincide with the Victory in Europe celebrations (VE day) and the 80-year anniversary of the ending of the Second World War, our Year 7 and 8 students were fortunate enough to visit the Imperial War Museum North.
Our students walked through a timeline of history from the First World War to the present day. They were inquisitive and curious, deepening their knowledge of our past.
Students wrote an account of their time. This is what they said:
The Imperial War Museum was a great experience and many things stood out. There were many weapons used, along with their notes, tanks and even a recording of scenes from the war and people in the trenches. Overall it was an amazing trip and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys history as much as me. Harry, Year 7.
The Imperial War Museum was an amazing experience and multiple things caught my eye. There were many things to learn and look at but there was also many things to interact with as well. I wish we could go again someday. Lilly, Year 7.
