Homework KS4 Year 10

Our mission here at Dixons Newall Green is to provide your child with a first-class education that will give them opportunities in the future. One of the most important ways we achieve this is through home learning. As we move into Key Stage 4 examination years with your child, our homework policy must adapt accordingly. Our homework strategy will be as follows:

Knowledge Organisers and Quizzes

Your child has a new Knowledge Organiser for half term one. For every subject there is a set of questions and answers each week. Your child will be tested on these questions and answers each week in the subjects they study.

Mastery Homework

In addition, your child will complete a mastery homework each week in most subjects. This will look different in each subject but will comprise of:

Mastery booklets with GCSE style tasks-English, Spanish, Mandarin, Health and Social, Travel and Tourism

Sparx - Maths and Science

Seneca - History and Geography

In the creative subjects such as Art, Music, Drama, Hospitality and Catering and PE mastery homework will look different depending on the requirement of the unit of study. They might not receive written homework each week.
